Originally Broadcasted July 9, 2025, on ACB Media

** A discussion on what current information is being shared and raising awareness for cities, designers and community members. By StrongGo Industries, manufacturer of TekWay Tactile Warning Systems. In today's urbanized living, new is everywhere, and that can be challenging. New jobs, new streets, new parks, new schools, even with GPS it can be difficult to navigate. We strive to give designers of urban areas ideas of the challenges that come with limited vision or none at all, but also possible solutions for support with TWSIs. In this session, we discussed our current efforts to educate entities on Tactile Walking Surface Indicators and answer any questions the group may have. We also welcome feedback on how the message may be improved to be more effective.

Originally Broadcasted July 8, 2025, on ACB Media 2

Most decisions about public transportation are made locally. This means that it's local chapters and state affiliates who are on the front lines of advocating for better and more accessible public transportation. With this in mind, the ACB Transportation Committee offered this workshop, which covered the basics of how transit is regulated, funded, planned, operated and managed. It's practical information, that any ACB leader, transit advisory committee member, or anyone else concerned about transit can use to level up their transit advocacy skills.

Originally Broadcasted June 23, 2023, on ACB Media 3

OKO is a mobile application that uses the smartphone camera and artificial intelligence to bring back the status of the pedestrian light (WALK, DON'T WALK and COUNTDOWN) and helps you with not veering off into traffic when crossing the street. OKO doesn't require any additional infrastructure to be installed and does not rely on a Wi-Fi or cellular connection. No stress and greater safety while crossing the street.
