What happens when a totally blind builder clones his own voice, locally, on his own Mac - no cloud, nothing leaving the machine? Joe Green wanted a tool that would read long documents aloud in his own voice, so he built one: Whisper to turn speech into text, a local AI model (Qwen 3.5) to clean the text up, and Chatterbox to speak it back in his cloned voice - all put together with Claude Code.

Then came the test. Takes that stopped mid-sentence. A clone that came back sounding "20 times lighter - like Alvin and the Chipmunks." In this episode: what he built, what went wrong, the lesson he'd carry into a second attempt (record line by line, get a better model) - and why he's glad he tried it anyway, plus his message to blind creators who are afraid to start.
