Jennifer Corday is an award-winning singer/songwriter/guitarist who's shared stages with Melissa Etheridge, Sarah McLaughlin, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Cyndi Lauper, Berlin, and many more. Ranging from acoustic indie to rock, her music and videos have been awarded by LA Weekly, GLAMA Awards, LA Music Awards and she's been a Battle of the Band Finalist for KISS FM and STAR Radio. You may have seen her as an actress on the national Ride With Pride Uber commercial, in award-winning lesbian films, or heard her music in MTV documentaries and numerous movies. As a side project, Corday created the Melissa Etheridge Experience, where she stars as Melissa, performing at large concert venues and casinos across the nation seeking top-notch tribute acts.

Ahead, Corday talks about the creative and fun ways she is keeping busy while engaging her fans during this time. She discusses her upcoming album and the title track single, Anchor, and much more.

In this episode I talk with singer/songwriter, Laura Glyda.

Laura grew up heavily influenced by her musical family. They would sing together on road trips and burst into song at the dinner table if someone happened to mention a line from a popular song. She began writing songs at around 5 or 6 years old and hasn’t slowed down.

Singer-songwriter Melissa Crispo knew from the age of five that she wanted to be a musician. She was already singing into her hairbrush after all. “My cousins would ask me to play dolls or what not but all I could concentrate on were the drums in my uncle’s garage,” she said. “It went from drums to guitar to piano. Every instrument out there would turn my head as a kid. I couldn’t not do it. I had to pick up every instrument I could and it never went away. I’m 41 now and I still have my dream.”
