All eyes are on us this week as Spencer Frankeberger (@spencer101f) joins us to discuss Big Brother, the long running, multi-national, mildly Orwellian reality series that honestly kinda stresses me out a little bit. We go deep on how the show was restructured from its slower, European format to the more brash, Survivor inspired American version, the psychological tolls this show can take on its contestants, and Spencer tells his use incredibly detailed thoughts on what sort of contestant he would be.

Plus, we pose the eternal question, "What’s wrong with Brandon saying 'I’m tired of plugging myself?'"

This week, depodvolution is real as we talk Akron art rock weirdos DEVO with Jason Luna (JasonLuna1vs100 on Youtube!)! We take a ride on the Human Highway as we go deep on one of the most interesting and bizarre bands to ever hit it big, how they were the perfect band for MTV, and how they've managed to keep what could have been a very one note idea sustainable for over four decades. Plus: Brandon takes an incredibly long walk for a DEVO pun and it is NOT WORTH THE TRIP.

We go from SoHo down to Brighton as we discuss the history and intricacies of this odd hybrid game, what makes a machine stand out in a pinball room, and how it feels to just CRUSH a table for the first time. This is also the episode where Brandon talks A LOT about Smokey and The Bandit 2, which if you haven't seen it is truly insane on a number of levels. We cover everything from the corporate optimism to the retro futurism to the incredible music.
"WELLIREMEMBERITASTHOUGHTITWEREAPODAGOOOOOOOOOOOO" said Tommy The Podcat as he sauntered his way towards the episode description box for this week's episode. "Hmmm," this most felicitous feline thought to himself, "an episode with Erik Wargo (Nightchurch, @erikwargo) about the musical stylings of one Mr. Les Claypool and his band Primus. That sounds like a pretty good show to me." We get deep in the low end on the wild career of one of the most singular bass players in music, and only spend about eight minutes of the show doing mouth bass noises. Primus! Oysterhead! Sausage! Bernie Brains! All of it and more!

Brandon didn't have time to watch the movie before we recorded so he mostly sits this one out, which is probably for the best as this cocaine fueled cowboy romp gave Mike and Beth more than enough to talk about. Plus: Brandon does an impression of Andrew Fernandez like siiiiix tiiiiiiiiimes.

Don't forget to subscribe and leave a review on the ol' iTunes review page! Or whatever it is now! I'm 33!

(Read all of this in a folksy, Walt Disney cadence please)

To all who come to this happy pod...Welcome! This week's show, designed to bring mirth and merriment to children of ALL ages but mostly the older ones who are okay with some spicy language, is regarding theme park history. Our special guest is one CK Kimball, who you may have heard of from the Nightchurch comedy program or her burlesque work as Sally Sweet Nuthin'. We discuss the history of some of our favorite parks, and why the history of, essentially, infrastructure is so fascinating. We close at 9. No solicitors. Parking is fifty dollars and it's a mile away. NO BUS.

This week we're joined by the hilarious Jillian Dunn (comedian/actor/@hippiejill) to talk about jam bands. One of nature's most misunderstood genres, they're obsessed over by weird nerds like our host, much to the chagrin of the friends and family that have to hear about them, like our other host. We go waaaaay deeper than you'd ever want. I'm talking Raymond "Skeeto" Valdez, Ramble Dove, "trying to work out what sub-genre Gov't Mule is" deep. If you love improvisational music as much as we do then you're gonna love this. If you don't, well... I can't really blame you...

Have a problematic fave you'd like to share? We cover everything from Spaced to the surprisingly controversial Baby Driver while going mad with jet lag, and Mackenzie tells us her super not embarrassing story about meeting Edgar Wright in a town in New York we've never heard of before or since. It might very well be her Edgar Wright Brigadoon, aka Edgadoon. That's a bad joke, so I'm'a stop while I'm ahead.

In honor of this week's release of the Wonder Woman film, we've got a special live bonus episode recorded at Geek Chic Promotions' Wonder Woman Fan Party at Hi De Ho Comics in Santa Monica. Joining us for a discussion of all things Diana Prince are Marc Andreyko (Wonder Woman 77), Susan Eisenberg (Voice of Wonder Woman), Drew Edward Johnson (Artist) and Matt Haley (Artist). We go deep on why so many people love the Amazonian so much, and how working "with" her has made them better people. The panel also turns very, very briefly into a backdoor pilot for a Manimal Podcast that will never, ever happen.

Werewolf howl! Ominous bells! Guitar screeeeeeech! POP PUNK GUITAR CHORDS! These sounds in this incredibly specific order can only mean one thing........it means world renowned hilarious person Diana De Luna is here to talk about her problematic fave, Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Gonna admit this one gets a little chaotic, but it's only because we're all SO. INTO. BUFFY. that we have like a million things to say. Except for Beth. She only likes Angel. Like a jerk would do. In time I shall be able to forgive her. This week is also the 20th anniversary of Buffy's premiere on The Warner Brothers Television Broadcasting Network! Excellent timing, right? Totally did it on purposes. Totez purpz. Care to share your problematic fave with us? E-mail us at ithinkyoudbeintoit[at]gmail[period]com or find us on the Tweeties @intoitpod.

Muffins n mash! It's our first full length episode! Joining us for this inaugural aural voyage* is Dan Gvozden (@supspidertalk), host of Superior Spider Talk (which is available wherever podcasts are sold), to talk about his problematic fave, 50 Shades of Grey (The movie). Apparently Fiddy Shayshays is a metatextual commentary on the nature of the female gaze in movies, which is not what I expected for a Mom Porn movie, but what do I know? This one's a keeper, fellas! *It's like a ship of content sailing into your ears! Delicately, and with a tender touch, yet forceful like a sea-mule.

For our second pre-series minisode, Beth talks about her deep, abiding love of Jupiter Ascending, the Wachowski's "masterpiece" about a toilet cleaning Mila Kunis who's also a space princess lady? And also possibly a clone? Plus Terry Gilliam is there and Sean Bean is made of bees? I saw the movie and still have TONS of questions, most of which are raised but not answered in this cosmic af minisode. Plus: A little more about us!

This podcast was started almost entirely because Brandon hasn't stopped talking incessantly about Phish since approximately 2003, and it is now the year of our lord 2017. Our two co-hosts roll solo this week and give you a little taste of what the full show is going to be, then their cat decides to use our studio as a bathroom and everything kinda goes sideways. This is a fun one!
