To celebrate this month's release of Ironheart Volume 1 (now available wherever you get your books!!), we're discussing Riri Williams and the creative team behind her new solo series from Marvel. But first, we talk about the big MCU news coming out of San Diego and share our thoughts on Phase 4. Then we dive deep into Ironheart, outlining the people and places essential to who Riri is as a person and a superhero. We explore what drives our young hero and what makes her so instantly beloved. We also fangirl over writer Eve L. Ewing, who is truly moving with courage and making the path for Black girls everywhere. Finally, we share our hopes for Ironheart to join the MCU!

This week we go international with the MCU as we discuss Spider-Man: Far From Home. First, we give our spoiler free reactions to the movie. Then we dive into spoiler territory as we discuss this movie and the fallout of Endgame. Is it the snap or the blip? Are there multiple universes? Does Mike really have the audacity to call into question the legacy of Tony Stark? We then move back to the movie proper and discuss what we liked and Peter's predilection for chocolate (Enjoli's note: caramel). Finally, we talk about the two end credits scenes and make predictions for the MCU going forward in light of this new info.

Then we discuss X-Men as a whole and how it relates to the Civil Rights movement in America. How does the allegory hold up under basic scrutiny? What does the X-Men really accomplish as it relates to social justice?
