What does it mean to be filled with the Spirit? Why is it important? How can I be filled? The Holy Spirit is like rain. Sometimes his presence is like mist, or a gentle shower. Sometimes it is a deluge and you get truly 'drookit'. But the purpose is the same - to saturate us with the presence of God. This is the third message on Pentecost and the tenth and final message in our Legacy Series.

How can we enjoy intimacy with God the Father and experience his love? Even better than being made right with God, is our spiritual adoption by him, and at Pentecost he sent his Spirit so that we might experience it.

As the new temple of God, we have value, purpose and a destiny. The Spirit coming at Pentecost means that God's people, individually and corporately, are now the place where heaven and earth meet.

The Ascension: Where is Jesus right now, and what is he doing? Why does evil and suffering exist in the world if Jesus is Lord? When did you last hear a message on the Ascension? It is seeing the Ascended Christ, as King and Priest, that enables us to face the world with peace in our hearts.

In this message, Brittany looks at the essence of life, what it means to experience abundant life in Christ, and how we can discover our truest selves. She answers the question, what is eternal life?

Continuing in our Legacy series, we look at how believing in a future resurrection should affect how we live our lives in the present. Answering questions like: Does our work matter? And should we bother taking care of the environment if the earth is going to be destroyed one day?

Looking at the legacy of Christ's resurrection for all who belong to him. Answering questions like, 'will I go to heaven when I die?', 'Does it matter if we are buried or cremated?', 'Will I see my beloved pet in the afterlife?'

We often underestimate the reality of evil powers in our world and the gravity of sin. These forces of darkness hold us captive and are empowered by our actions. But the good news that we hear in this message is that Christ came to set us free. He triumphed over these powers through the cross. In which case, why is death and evil still part of our human experience?

Many people today are facing an identity crisis. They want to know, ‘who am I’ and 'do I matter’. The doctrine of recapitulation tells us that we are part of a much bigger story, that gives our lives meaning and purpose and a new script to live by. It’s a story in which Christ has the last word.

What will bring peace to a world in constant turmoil? What is God's antidote to all the hostility? Reconciliation. And it is found in Christ and his cross.

Depressed? Drifting? Running away? Know that you are not the only one. And you are not alone - God loves you and will not let you go. This is our seventh message on Elijah. From 1 Kings 19: 1-18, where it's the gentle whisper of God that draws a downcast Elijah out of his cave.

1 Kings 18:41-46. In our sixth message on Elijah, we look at the inherent power of prayer, and why we should pray and not give up.

1 Kings 18:22-40. In our fifth message on Elijah, we look at that epic showdown between Elijah and the prophets of Baal. A careful reading of the narrative reveals that it's not so much a battle between good and evil, but a merciful, loving God who relentlessly pursues his people, to turn our hearts back to him.

Matthew 6: 25-34. Talk number 14 in our series on the Sermon on the Mount. We humans have hearts that naturally seek to be satisfied and are also easily bent toward anxiety. In this message we see how Jesus opens the book of creation to reassure us of the Father’s love and care, and how He wisely redirects us toward the only end worthy of our perpetually seeking hearts.
