No judgment. That's the only rule.

Kolby and Michael are two blind professionals who do a lot of the same things in completely different ways, and neither of them is wrong. Our Perspective is their podcast — honest, unscripted conversations about blind life, the tech they use to live it, and everything in between. Real stories, genuine vulnerability, and the stuff nobody else is talking about. Not another blind tech show. Just two people, two mics, and a lot of ground to cover. We want to hear your perspective too.

Our Perspective, Episode 2: No For Right Now

Michael and Kolby are back after a month off, and they jump right into the feedback they've been getting. One thing people keep saying: they appreciate that Michael and Kolby don't pretend to have all the answers. That leads into a real conversation about why saying no is so hard, and how Kolby came up with the phrase "no for right now" as a way to decline something without shutting the door completely.

From there, the conversation covers:

Juggling work, personal, and small business calendars, and why most scheduling tools don't quite solve the problem

Whether fireworks make sense as an experience when you've never had vision, and how multi-line braille displays are starting to make things like fireworks explorable

How each of them learned about color growing up, and why color often ends up being more about sound and association than anything visual

A childhood story about a gym teacher who ran a very convincing prank involving colored jump ropes

Public school versus schools for the blind, and what each of them feels they gained or missed by going the public school route

Spatial awareness and how sighted people process a room at a glance, including the reminder that sighted people get lost too

Welcome to Our Perspective
In our first episode, Michael and Kolby introduce the show, talk about why they started it, and dig into two questions: how to handle loud environments when you need to be present, and what used to scare you that doesn't anymore.
We get into the orientation challenge in loud spaces, why "go with someone else" is still the best tip, and the weird gap between asking for help at home versus asking on a trip across the country. Michael shares what it was like losing light perception between 13 and 16. Kolby talks about growing up afraid of getting lost and how O&M lessons shaped that.
We also share what we each want out of this show, and tee up next episode: blind friends growing up, or in Michael's case, the lack of them.

Kolby and Michael have been meaning to do this for a while. In this trailer, you'll get your first taste of the dynamic — honest, unscripted, and a little unfiltered. Two blind professionals talking about life, the tech they use to live it, and the stuff nobody else is talking about.
Not another blind tech show. Just two people figuring it out together.
