Travis Cains, who goes by OG Mugz, shares his memories of his "little brother" George Floyd in an interview at the Reggae Hut restaurant in Third Ward, Houston, Texas.

Travis Cains, a.k.a. "OG Mugz", is from Cuney Homes in the Third Ward neighborhood. He worked in bail bonds in Houston for 33 years and currently manages a local comedian. He was close friends with George Floyd, who grew up in the Cuney Homes projects, and was a speaker and pallbearer at George Floyd's funeral in Houston.

Two days after George Floyd was killed on May 25, 2020, Mugz reached out to Houston artist Donkeeboy and commissioned him to paint a mural in Floyd's memory. The mural is located at 3341 Winbern St. at Scott Food Mart, across the street from Cuney Homes and near Jack Yates High School, George Floyd's alma mater. It has become a gathering place for the community since George Floyd's death and has helped to inspire murals all over the world.

In this interview, Mugz shares his memories of his "little brother" George Floyd, the story behind the mural and his hope for change.
