How do we shape and tell stories? Using the Story Club model, this production will showcase non-fiction stories, written and performed by CNM students. Students will workshop their own chosen, personal stories and develop that into a 1300 word, 8 minute podcast performance piece. I want students to explore themes and arguments of their choosing; some will be prolific in human nature; others lighthearted and comedic in delivery; all will have a singular goal: to share a truthful human experience and to better understand ourselves and others; and of course to have fun in the process.

Joey by John Sanchez

Tue, 12 Apr 2022 18:00:00 -0000

If you want a happy story, where no one gets hurt, everyone laughs, and the main character gets the girl, this isn't the story you want. There is death, there is loss, and there is trauma. If these trigger you, turn around now. You will cry. You've been warned. This isn't for your entertainment, it's a message to someone I care about, very much.
