<description><![CDATA[<p>Cleveland indie rock stars The Lighthouse And The Whaler broke out some of their newest music for the latest episode of The Cleveland Sessions. The band played its two newest singles, "Into The Unknown" and "Future Blind," along with a song off of its newest EP "Paths" called "Made Of Water." The songs, singer-guitarist Michael LoPresti said, are a signal to the direction the band is taking.</p>

<p>Singer-guitarist Michael LoPresti also talked with cleveland.com music writer Annie Nickoloff recently in a wide-ranging interview that took place at the Cleveland Botanical Garden.</p>

<description><![CDATA[<p>Roots-music maestro Langhorne Slim (aka Sean Scolnick) rolled through Cleveland with his Lost At Last Band in June of 2018 to promote his latest album, “Lost At Last: Vol. 1.” They took time to record a Cleveland Sessions video before their show at the Music Box, playing “Funny Feeling” and “Life is Confusing.” The band features Langhorne Slim (lead vocals, guitar), Mat Davidson (various instruments), Casey McAllister (keyboards), Malachi DeLorenzo (drums) and Paul Defigilia (bass).</p>

<p>Slim also recorded an interview with cleveland.com’s Annie Nickoloff, talking about everything from his latest music projects to his affection for the late Tom Petty.</p>

The group performed two songs "Midway" and "Write It On Your Heart," for the video series. "Midway" is from the band's 2015 album "Psychic Reader," and "Write It On Your Heart" is a new single off of the forthcoming "Lightning Round" album. <p>The Jack Fords have played just about every club in Cleveland and shared stages with the likes of Michael Stanley, James Gang and Joe Bonamassa. But the band's biggest gig may be ahead of them. The Jack Fords will perform on Sunday, Aug. 26, at the InCuya Music Festival, one of the biggest music events to come to downtown Cleveland in over 20 years. The fest features headliners New Order, the Avett Brothers, Sza and several other national and regional acts. As a warm-up, The Jack Fords participated in the most unique episode of The Cleveland Sessions yet, performing on a pontoon boat as it drove around the Cuyahoga River.</p>

<p>The Veteran Cleveland rockers then sit down for a "Cleveland Sessions" interview with cleveland.com reporter Troy L. Smith, talking music, live performance and their upcoming gig at the InCuya Music Festival. The band features lead-vocalist and guitarist Brent Kirby, lead guitarist Bobby Latina, bassist Ed Sotelo and drummer Greg Campolieti.</p>
