The first and last songs used on this episode were both taken from the Voyager Golden Record Recordings, as were the recorded salutations.

Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 was used c/o a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License. One small note on that one, this recording was actually by the Lexington Bach Choir Orchestra, not the Munich Bach Orchestra as I mentioned in the episode.

The final song is "Dark Was The Night, Cold Was the Ground" by Blind Willie Nelson.

For more info, check out NASA's Golden Record website (https://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/golden-record/). A lot of the details for this episode were taken from this site, and I'd really recommend perusing it at your leisure if you want to know more.

Special thanks to NASA and the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, who provided the Apollo 8 audio. The audio of Lyndon B. Johnson addressing the nation was provided via the LBJ Presidential Library by way of CBS.
