Ranking systems have always been a source of contention in competitive gaming- questions like “What’s fair?” and “How can I tell if that guy is really better than me?” crop up frequently.

This week I’ll be talking about Riot Games’s controversial stance to create only one ranked ladder that allows teams of any size to compete on the same battlefield. Personally, I’m of the opinion that SoloQ is a staple that should remain in the game as a separate option. I’ll talk about why I feel that way in the episode and why I feel that the little guy (AKA the solo players) will suffer the most trying to climb this season.
