WEBVTT

00:05.200 --> 00:07.680
This has been an ACB community call.

00:16.880 --> 00:21.920
This community. Unmuted was hosted on Saturday 3rd May, 2025.

00:26.480 --> 01:10.840
Good morning everyone and welcome back to Unmute. A couple announcements here at the top. We want to remind everyone we're going to take all first hands and if we get through all the first questions and we have extra time, then we will take second questions. We want to make sure everyone has time to get their questions answered, at least their first question anyway. Also, please be respectful and let everyone get their questions answered just the way you would want. And with that, I want to thank everyone for being here. And if you want to find out what we have going on, you can check out our website at Unmute show and if you have questions, comments, comments or anything like that, you can email us at Feedback Mute show and Michael, how you doing?

01:11.000 --> 01:15.560
I'm doing great. What's that? Email address Feedback at Unmute Show. I'm not going to start doing that.

01:15.560 --> 01:17.000
But no, don't do that.

01:18.040 --> 01:21.560
Macgeekab, if you haven't heard, definitely give them a listen.

01:22.120 --> 01:24.280
What was that MacGeek Gab you said?

01:24.440 --> 02:20.960
Yeah, exactly. So appreciate it, Marty, and want to thank everyone for participating today. We do have a lot of podcast. Well, not as much as what we have had in the past. Chris did release her at your fingertips episode recently. Definitely check that out because she talked about my favorite thing and that's fidgeting and playing with fidgets to help improve your braille skills. So you want to check those out because of some of those recommendations. And then digital Bites. Chris and I had a conversation a couple of weeks ago on Mac Chat about the ability to use tools like launch bar to launch files and applications on your Mac. And I went a little bit more in depth on that on the more recent Digital Bites. And if you want to know what other people talked about because Michael forgot to pull up a list, go check it out on the podcast feed. And I want to say hey to Liz and Liz, I think you have a question today.

02:21.680 --> 02:28.880
Hello, I do. I don't have. Well, hold on. I don't have a question. I have a question of the day. I'm assuming that's what you're referring to.

02:28.880 --> 02:32.880
Yeah, I mean, you do have a question to ask people because it's a question of the day.

02:33.210 --> 03:42.750
I mean, I could make it with a question. The question of the day. Hello everyone, I am Liz. I am one of the facilitators on this call. The question of the day is if you dictate text in whatever form that Is whether it be a text message, an email, whatever it might be a document, but especially something that you're sending out to people. When you realize that there are mistakes in that message, do you correct them before you send it? Or if you manage to send it and there are mistakes, do you go back and fix those? For myself, I absolutely will edit my texts as texts or emails before I send them, mainly texts, because I don't really dictate email messages. I dictate very infrequently as it is. But when I do dictate anything, I will manually check for errors and then edit. And then if I do not catch something before I send it, I am that person that will follow up with an asterisk, like, oh, I actually meant to say this. So, yes, that is me, Michael. I'll pass it to you.

03:43.230 --> 04:12.250
I. Well, it depends. If I'm in a hurry, which is 97% of the time because I'm always doing something else, I will not go back and fix them. I have been known to go edit messages, especially when I need to. And then when I send messages to my wife, Mallory, she gets a little upset at me sometimes if the wording is off. So especially when it has different meanings. So I tried to go back and edit those for the most part. Marty, how about yourself?

04:13.130 --> 04:54.470
I would say when I dictate most of the time, if it's not too off, I'll probably just send it. But if it's way, way off, then yes, I definitely will edit it. Sometimes dictating has a mind of its own and you'll say one thing and it totally puts down something completely different, especially if you're not in quiet environment, depending on who I'm texting. Also, there are certain unnamed people who I text with quite frequently who has told me, I got your text message, but hey, the punctuation was wrong or you misspelled this word or that capital wasn't there. I won't name who that person is, but you know who you are. So with that, let's get some of these questions answered.

04:54.870 --> 04:56.470
Who do we got first? Monica?

04:57.110 --> 04:58.150
We have Ann.

04:59.020 --> 05:01.500
Good morning, Ann, can you hear me?

05:01.580 --> 05:02.540
We can hear you.

05:02.540 --> 05:42.330
Oh, good, good. Okay. You gave me this last week and I could not make it work. The most untechnical person you'll ever speak to. That's my name. If Windows. If I'm in an email and I do control Y and I want to try to find me put on my earpiece for that. If I want to try to find the trash, how do I do IT Control Y Windows 11.

05:44.890 --> 06:30.840
So when you press Control Y and you use your up and down arrow keys, are you saying you're not finding a trash or you just want to know where to go? Because pressing Control Y will bring you. This is assuming you're using Outlook, either Classic or the new version of Outlook. Pressing Control Y will bring you into a list of your folders for specific email accounts that you have associated with Outlook. So if you just have one, it makes it a little simpler. If you have multiple, then multiple. Okay, so what you'll do is you'll down arrow until you hear the email account you want to find the trash for, and then you tap a right arrow to make sure that that email account is open and then down arrow until you find either archive or trash. And once you find archive or trash, you hit Enter.

06:31.320 --> 06:54.730
Okay, I've deleted all the ones that I want to delete. Calendar, contacts, journal notes, outbox, RSS feed, tasks, search folders, whatever this is. I did Control F Y and this is what I get. No trash.

06:55.530 --> 07:00.250
So what is your email at? Is it at Gmail or is it at something else?

07:00.250 --> 07:00.890
Gmail.

07:01.210 --> 07:30.500
Okay, so what I can probably suggest you do then is since it doesn't sound like you're using Archive, and if you want, you can send us an email and we can work together more one on one with you and go in and see what's going on with that for the interim until you get. Until we can get some time to give you some assistance. What I would recommend doing is if you go to the gmail.com website, you can get access to all of your messages, including your trash there as well.

07:30.500 --> 07:44.100
But you have to have the right password, you have to go into the right place, and I'm just not good at that. I just have it on my computer and I open it up and it's there, but I can't find the trash. I mean, you know, I delete it and it goes to the trash, but I can't find the trash.

07:44.340 --> 07:49.540
Okay, well, tell you what, send us an email because I'm sure you can send an email to feedbackmute Show.

07:49.540 --> 07:49.900
Yes.

07:49.900 --> 07:57.360
And I'll find a time in the next couple of days to help you remotely and we can take a look at your computer and see what's going on there. Okay.

07:57.360 --> 07:58.880
Can you go into my computer?

07:59.440 --> 08:01.280
We can work something out for that. Yes.

08:01.440 --> 08:04.480
Oh, okay, perfect. Thank you so much.

08:04.720 --> 08:06.240
No worries. Have a beautiful day.

08:06.320 --> 08:09.360
You too. Okay, next we have Bobby.

08:09.520 --> 08:10.200
Hey, Bobby.

08:10.200 --> 08:10.960
Hey, Bobby.

08:11.760 --> 08:12.240
Hello.

08:13.200 --> 08:17.200
I didn't get back to you. Can you hear me okay?

08:17.520 --> 08:18.280
Yep, we can hear you.

08:18.280 --> 08:18.560
Good.

08:19.200 --> 09:56.710
Okay. Well, I figured out what was going on with my fifine mixer, because I guess my father wrote to tech support, and the truth is, it does not support loop back. But there's a workaround you could do. And if that woman's in here, I want her to hear the workaround as well. What you have to do is you have to buy or order on Amazon two audio splitters. You know what they are, right? Mm. So what you do is you plug one splitter into the mixer, and you plug the main cord from your computer into the mixer. But then if you want to plug your phone in, like your blind shell, you'd have to use another cord to plug into the second jack on the splitter. And I tried it because Fifine said to do that. They were the ones that supplied the workaround. And sure enough, guess what? You get your voice and screen reader together, but your voice and computer audio together. But if you're using headphones or monitoring, that's really not the best thing to do, because sometimes you might get a little feedback through your monitoring. But if you're not monitoring, that's a perfectly great workaround. And you get stereo sound. You get the mono. So, yeah, I'm. It's the fifine. S as in Sam, C as in Charlie 3. And if that woman's in the room, you know, I think it's a great tip.

09:57.270 --> 10:01.830
Perfect, Bobby. I appreciate that. Does that mean you're going to start submitting cell phone show demos to me?

10:03.670 --> 10:05.190
Oh, I'll. I'll try.

10:06.550 --> 10:16.930
We'd love to get other demos. Right now, it's just Adrian and I produc blindshell content. So if you have anything you'd like to hear on there, feel free to send that over and we'll get it published. Okay.

10:17.250 --> 10:23.090
If there's anything. So where do I send it to if I ever want to? Huh?

10:23.330 --> 10:25.410
Feedback. Mute. Show.

10:25.650 --> 10:28.890
Okay. Feedbackmute. Show. Okay.

10:28.890 --> 10:34.210
Yes, sir. Perfect. Thanks, Bobby. Appreciate that tip, and thanks for following up with us. Okay.

10:34.770 --> 10:39.410
Yeah, maybe I'll try to do one about putting music on the blind shell.

10:39.410 --> 10:53.950
There you go. That'd be great. Would that be too basic with no variety of content? I mean, I did one teaching people how to put the battery in, so. Tell you what, Putting music on is not too basic, and I appreciate it, so thanks a lot, Bobby.

10:54.590 --> 10:59.230
You're welcome, Michael. It was good talking to you. Next, we have Janet.

10:59.550 --> 11:00.110
Hey, Janet.

11:00.110 --> 11:00.830
Hello, Janet.

11:00.830 --> 11:03.070
We do have somebody in clubhouse afterwards.

11:03.390 --> 11:06.590
Okay, we'll jump over to Clubhouse after Janet. Go ahead, Janet.

11:07.150 --> 11:17.710
Okay. My answer to the daily question is I don't. I don't. I don't check my phone. I just send them.

11:18.110 --> 11:21.550
Okay, that makes sense. Well, perfect.

11:21.710 --> 11:22.830
Another question, Janet?

11:24.510 --> 11:33.070
Actually, I have a question, but I just lost it, so I'll raise my hand later.

11:33.470 --> 11:33.950
Perfect.

11:35.070 --> 11:36.030
Thanks, Janet.

11:36.270 --> 11:37.790
What do we got in Clubhouse, Jane?

11:39.470 --> 11:47.630
We have somebody. M U Z I K G U R O. Sorry, I can't say the name.

11:47.630 --> 11:49.070
Music Girl. How's it going?

11:49.870 --> 11:50.430
Good morning.

11:50.590 --> 11:51.070
Good morning.

11:51.070 --> 11:51.630
Good morning.

11:51.710 --> 11:52.589
We can hear you.

11:52.830 --> 11:56.990
Good morning, Marty. Good morning, Michael. Good morning, Jane. And Clubhouse. I hear you.

11:57.550 --> 11:58.670
Great. Well, welcome.

12:00.190 --> 12:02.270
Thank you. It's Rachel, by the way.

12:02.930 --> 12:03.410
Hey, Rachel.

12:03.410 --> 12:03.970
Rachel.

12:04.450 --> 12:33.000
Hi. I have a couple of quick questions. I may have one later, so you can come back to me then as well. But my first two questions are. This morning, when I opened up my Outlook email, I had messages that I know darn right well were deleted, but they went back from December, so I don't. I'm not sure what happened.

12:33.880 --> 12:35.960
Okay. So is your question what happened?

12:36.520 --> 12:38.920
Yeah. Why would all of these be recovered?

12:40.360 --> 12:47.240
Honestly, I'm not certain. They're in your inbox, though. Correct. They were moved from your inbox and you weren't in the All Mail folder.

12:47.880 --> 12:51.720
Correct. They were all. They all recovered. These went back from December.

12:52.200 --> 13:17.700
Yeah. I'm not certain what happened there. If it continues to happen, what I would do in that case is reach out to the disability answer desk at Microsoft and they can remote into your computer and take a look at your Outlook settings to verify that everything is set appropriately. It is a little strange that you would have messages coming back from five months ago. So not exactly sure what happened there. Did you get them redeleted?

13:18.260 --> 13:20.420
Yes, I did. And I cleared out the trash.

13:20.580 --> 13:21.220
Perfect.

13:23.060 --> 14:12.890
One of the things that sometimes happen doesn't always happen, but when you're working in email on your local computer, things get deleted that you may delete and then the trash may get emptied. But a lot of times that's local to your computer. If you then hit the server again, sometimes things get refreshed and they come back where they were actually deleted, like you said, and trashed on your local computer, but not on the server side. So what you need to do is make sure that what you're doing on your local computer is going to be the same as online and reflect in both places the same thing. And like Michael said, you probably want to check with Microsoft and make sure that all your settings are correct so this problem doesn't happen in the future.

14:14.090 --> 14:19.770
Okay. And can I ask one more quick question before I get moved back into the audience?

14:20.650 --> 14:21.450
Sure, go ahead.

14:22.660 --> 14:52.980
It has to do with GarageBand. If I'm going to hook my GarageBand to a keyboard, and my keyboard I got, it's a Yamaha, and I was 13 years old when I received it. You can put cartridges in it. Does the keyboard matter? Does the model of the keyboard matter? Or do you have to update your professional keyboard? And do you need a cable as well to hook to your iPad? And what cord would that be?

14:53.700 --> 15:01.980
Well, you're definitely going to need a cable so that the computer can read the hardware. Then you got to make sure this.

15:01.980 --> 15:03.140
Is for an iPad.

15:03.780 --> 15:10.580
Right. Either way, any device that you're using, you're going to need a cable. Unless it works over Bluetooth and you're.

15:10.580 --> 15:12.180
Going to have to show them itself. You mean.

15:12.340 --> 15:19.940
Yes. You're talking about, like a musical tablet doesn't work Bluetooth. Then you might need a hub for your iPad. What kind of iPad do you have?

15:22.340 --> 15:24.820
It's gray, but I don't remember if.

15:24.820 --> 15:29.940
Your iPad has Lightning or USB C on the bottom for charging.

15:32.340 --> 15:34.260
I think it's the lightning cable.

15:34.980 --> 16:04.820
So either way, whether it's lightning or USB C, you'll need a hub, which is something that you can plug into the bottom of your iPad and then it's a little box that gives you extended ports on it. So, like regular usb, a USB C, all of those things. You'll have to find out what cable your keyboard needs that will read on the iPad and then get that hub and cable. As long as everything's compatible, it should work.

16:05.860 --> 16:07.700
Okay, great.

16:08.990 --> 16:10.030
Perfect. Thanks a lot.

16:10.350 --> 16:12.750
All right, I'll be back later. Okay. For the talking.

16:12.830 --> 16:14.110
Have a good one. Thanks for coming.

16:14.590 --> 16:17.470
Yep, you too. Next we have Pam.

16:17.950 --> 16:19.030
Good morning, Pam.

16:19.030 --> 16:19.710
Hey, Pam.

16:20.270 --> 17:25.580
Good morning. I just want to answer the question of the day. Number one, I do not dictate. And of course, if I did, the answer would be the same as what I'm about to give. Now, while I never make the claim that I catch every typo and I'm always embarrassed if one does get through, I do go back and proofread my text messages, emails, the like. Because while I love predictive text, every once in a while it gets something wrong. And even occasionally, even after I have checked something, predictive text will make a change in it. And that's part of the way a typo can occasionally get through. But, oh, yes, I do go back and proofread.

17:26.620 --> 17:29.980
Very good. Thank you very much for that. Pam, appreciate it, thanks.

17:30.700 --> 17:33.550
Okay, next we have Donna.

17:34.110 --> 17:35.270
Good morning, Donna.

17:35.270 --> 17:36.030
Hey, Donna.

17:36.110 --> 19:38.530
Hey, good morning. I'll answer the question, then I'll tell you my issue. So I do occasionally use on iPhone, you know, Siri, to do my, you know, texting because sometimes I'm the world's worst speller. So I just feel like I need to sometimes just to make sure it doesn't take me too long to do a text because that gets on my nerves too to try to type something I don't know. And it keeps telling me I'm wrong. So generally I'll look to see if I've made issue, you know, mistakes, but if I don't catch them, I don't. It is what it is and if I see it and if I'm really embarrassed by it, I'll go back and put a little notation. Oh, by the way, I meant to say blah, blah, because that did happen to me recently and it, I had to go back into it because it was important. Anyhow, so recently I downloaded some because I do hosting. So I downloaded the, on my Mac, the, the things I'm supposed to play before, you know, the instructions. So when I get on my Mac, I it on the bot, on the toolbar, you know, it tells me downloads, right? Okay, they're still there and. But they're also in the, in the audio thing I put them in. Was it QuickTime? I put them in that. So why are they still sitting in my download spot? And I have other things too, like Clubhouse is still sitting in there and I thought it was download. So apparently I didn't complete the download. Is that what happened?

19:38.690 --> 20:45.270
No, what I think happened is when you need to install the third party apps on your computer, you go and you download those apps, which by default they automatically go to your downloads folder. Once you have them in the downloads folder, then when you double click on those, then you're setting them up to be installed on your computer. So once you have them installed and everything is good to go, if you don't delete those, usually they're called DMG files inside the downloads folder. That's the original spot where you install them from. Once you download them off the Internet, then they sit in your downloads folder. If you don't feel that you need to keep the installers after you installed them on your computer, you can go into your downloads folder and delete them. They'll go to the trash and then you can empty the trash or if you want to keep them just in case you need to reinstall them later, or maybe you want to reinstall it on another computer or something like that. For whatever reason, you can either save those DMGs and put them anywhere you want, or you can get rid of them. It's completely up to you.

20:45.670 --> 20:55.430
So, like Clubhouse there is the only place that I see it on my computer right now is in the download area, so I must not have.

20:56.710 --> 21:38.510
So when. When you install them, a lot of times it's going to ask you where you want to install them from. Or two, I should say. And you need to tell it that you want it to install into your applications folder. That way you'll actually have the installed app in the applications folder. Then from there, if you want to save a shortcut, like to your dock or to your desktop or something like that, you could do that. But you want to make sure you're installing them into your applications folder. So if you're not doing that, they may be installing them into your downloads folder. And now your computer's reading those applications from the downloads folder, not the applications folder.

21:39.150 --> 21:50.830
And, Donna, I want to help eliminate possibly a little bit of confusion. Let me ask you a question real quick. Specifically, you're talking about Club Deck, not Clubhouse, correct?

21:50.910 --> 21:51.550
Yes.

21:51.630 --> 21:56.670
Okay. When you open Club Deck, do you go to your downloads and open it there?

21:57.380 --> 21:59.220
That's the only place I see it right now.

21:59.700 --> 22:05.220
So when you download Club Deck, it downloads as an app file, which is an app file.

22:05.380 --> 22:05.940
Okay.

22:06.420 --> 22:29.250
When you're installing app files on the Mac, as Marty was saying, sometimes if you open a file, it'll say, where do you want to install this? But if it doesn't, it's always going to live in your downloads. So here's what I would do to eliminate that. If you highlight clubdeck app and you hit command C, that'll copy it to your clipboard. Okay?

22:29.490 --> 22:30.050
Okay.

22:30.130 --> 22:43.250
And then press the keystroke, and of course, this is recorded. So you can go back and listen to this if you need to, or drop us an email and I can send these steps to you. Press Command shift A and that'll take you to your applications.

22:43.810 --> 22:44.250
Okay.

22:44.250 --> 24:13.590
And then what I do is I press command option V and that moves it from your downloads to your applications, and then club deck will no longer show up in your downloads. It'll only be available when you go to your applications, and then you can open it. The reason that Chanel's audio files are still in your downloads folder, even though you've put them in vlc, think of your downloads folder as a filing cabinet or a tape Deck. For example, when you open a file from your downloads in vlc, that's like putting the tape in to VLC and then you hit play and it plays it. But if you delete that file from your downloads folder, then VLC is no longer going to see that tape anymore because it's no longer there anymore, so it's not going to play it. So those are currently living in your downloads folder. You can move them again with command C to copy them and then command option V to to move them somewhere. What some users have done is, if you want, you can go to your desktop and move them to your desktop. And to quickly get to your desktop, use Command Shift D for desktop, Command Shift A for applications, Command Shift D for desktop, and then do Command Shift V to move those from your downloads to your desktop. They're not hurting anything living in your downloads, but that's why they still show there even though you've opened them in QuickTime.

24:14.460 --> 24:38.540
Interesting. Yeah, I'm still trying to learn everything about because I really don't know a whole lot yet about downloading. And apparently I thought I was learning, but apparently not. You are learning. Yeah, I'm just getting it half right. So, like I don't even know where my application folder is, so I got to go look for that.

24:38.540 --> 25:35.920
And any of your applications, downloads, any of those folders are going to be in the Go menu, which is at the top on the left side of your menu bar. And you can get there by doing the VO keys and the letter M. And then you use your arrows to get to the Go menu and then click on the Go menu and from the Go menu there you will see your Applications folder, your downloads folder, all of those folders. And one more tip is if you look at what it says after, so for example, applications, it'll also then tell you what the shortcut is to that if you want to remember what the shortcut is to any folders that you want to go straight away. So once you know the shortcut to that folder, all you have to do is hit that shortcut on the keyboard. For example, let's say it's Applications and it will just straightaway open the Applications window. So the Go menu is where you want to go.

25:36.080 --> 25:50.960
Oh, I was going the wrong place. I was going to Launchpad. That's where I was finding like. Well, I found that my zoom in there because that's where it went. The other stuff didn't go in there, and I thought it would, and I kept looking in there for it.

25:51.040 --> 26:00.800
Yeah, you'll have better luck if you go to the Go menu and you'll have downloads applications, every main menu or folder I should say that you need to access.

26:01.120 --> 26:03.040
And the Go menu is in the.

26:03.940 --> 26:21.620
You want to. It's going to be in the top left corner, which is where the apple is. Yes, exactly. And then you use the right arrow to go over into here go. And then you do via space and it will open up that window and then you can see the list of all of the most important folders that you can access from there.

26:21.700 --> 26:27.540
Okay. Yeah, I definitely need Chanel's class. I'm waiting to get in it so I can learn all this stuff better.

26:28.580 --> 26:32.740
It takes time. Give yourself some grace. It's a lot of information all at once. You're doing good.

26:33.340 --> 26:51.660
I'm trying to. Right now I'm having to do this stuff visually because I, I don't know all the strokes yet and understand them. I'm learning some of them, but Voiceover is giving me a challenge. Like the tutorial's not working right and so I'm a little stuck. But.

26:52.300 --> 26:56.060
Well, send us an email and we can provide you with some resources to help you out.

26:56.300 --> 27:38.880
Okay, thank you, guys. Okay, next we have area code 734 ending in 541. Please unmute. Hi, it's Allison from Michigan here. A couple of quick questions. First, I want to say, Liz, I hear you a lot on the mls. Many Faces of Bard calls and the Patron engagement section calls. Second of all, I do dictate my text and I do edit and proofread them before I send them. My questions are, my first question is how do I switch from the Outlook Classic to the new Outlook?

27:40.000 --> 28:01.680
You'll have to download it if you don't have it installed already on your computer. If you're using Outlook Classic and you want to upgrade, you'll probably have to download the new version of outlook from your 365 account. It's not, I don't think it would be automatically on your computer unless you bought a computer with it already installed.

28:02.880 --> 28:50.290
Okay, perfect, Allison. That helps you a little bit. And also, just so you know, you're probably one of the first people that I know that says, how do I go from the Classic to the new one? It's usually how do I go from the new one to oh, Classic? So appreciate that. And Marty is right. You can go to outlook.com and download it from there. Also, if you go up to the file menu in Outlook Classic with alt F, I believe one of the options in that menu, possibly under the Info submenu, will allow you to download the Outlook New. And I'm surprised it's not prompting you because most of the time it prompts people to download it. So if you get that request in Outlook Classic, you can just follow those steps.

28:50.530 --> 29:04.450
Yeah, yeah. Well, it did. It did say before it would ask me did I want to try the new Outlook, and I kept saying no because I noticed your Outlook is a little bit different from the Classic. Got your buddy in here.

29:04.530 --> 29:22.570
Okay, I think we have someone in Clubhouse unmuted. If you could be quiet until it's your turn, or if you could get muted, that would be great. We're going to go ahead and finish answering Allison's question, so hopefully that helps you there, Allison. And did you have another quick question?

29:25.610 --> 29:42.170
Yes, I did. Whenever I hang up a call on Blind Shell to phone, it would say the time and the battery level, and then it would say blind Shell. I'm wondering why it says that, because it's never said that before.

29:43.760 --> 30:13.720
So I believe that is related to one of the more recent software updates that has been implemented. I'm not certain why it says Blind Shell. And I don't make phone calls on the phone itself. I have one here, but I don't. I don't use it for phone calls. So if it's saying Blind Shell, then maybe it's just letting you know that you're using a blind shell, in case you forgot. Okay, awesome, Allison. Thanks a lot, Jane. Did we have someone in Clubhouse? Maybe not.

30:14.200 --> 30:15.720
She doesn't have her hand up.

30:17.080 --> 30:17.560
Okay.

30:17.560 --> 30:18.920
All right, let's keep going.

30:19.080 --> 30:20.640
All right, who do we got next? Monica?

30:20.640 --> 30:21.560
We have Petra.

30:21.880 --> 30:22.680
Hey, Petra.

30:23.720 --> 31:00.610
Good morning, everyone. I have. First of all, I dictate most of my messages, if not all. And in my opinion, Terry does really well. I very rarely have anything I need to change, and I take the easy way. If I need to change it, I just tell her, cancel, don't send. And then I dictate it again. So I'm. I'm. Someone earlier in the call said they were the least technologically advanced person, and I think that Michael Babcock knows that I easily surpass them.

31:01.650 --> 31:02.210
I don't know.

31:02.210 --> 31:02.490
You're.

31:02.490 --> 31:03.890
You're coming along there, Petra.

31:07.340 --> 31:39.010
Anyway, I do have a question. I have the AirPods Pro 2, which I really like. However, just yesterday and today, the right. When I make a phone call, the right AirPod is working fine. The left AirPod is doing like a bonk, bonk, bonk, bonk, bonk. Bonk. And I have no idea what it's trying to do or why the left AirPod is acting wonky. Do you think I need to actually buy another set of AirPods Pro 2?

31:39.330 --> 32:54.510
No. I think it has something to do with maybe a weird software thing. What I would suggest doing is restarting your phone, making sure also that you have any updates. There's also firmware updates that go out to the airpods over the air. There's not a lot of control that you have over it. But your AirPods do need to be plugged in and so does your phone. And you need to be on both WI Fi and data. If it's not working for you, you know, overnight, or if you see you're not up to date on the current firmware, I would just call Apple Accessibility and have them walk you through forcing them to be updated to the current firmware. The other thing is, maybe when it did the last firmware update, something weird happened along the way. And if that's the case, again, Apple Accessibility can walk you through the steps to be able to help you fix the firmware on there, or you can take them into an Apple Store. But unfortunately, we don't have a lot of control over the firmware on them. They give you instructions on how to do it, and then you hope that it does it correctly without issue. And if there is an issue, unfortunately, you got to call in. So that's my suggestion.

32:55.310 --> 33:03.950
I normally don't plug my my iPhone in. I have an iPhone 16. I normally don't plug it in. I usually use the MagSafe charger.

33:04.270 --> 33:08.110
Well, that's fine either way, as long as it's charging, connected to power.

33:08.990 --> 33:14.190
Okay. And the AirPods should be plugged in and the phone connected to power at the same time.

33:14.910 --> 33:24.840
Correct. And you need to make sure that you're on WI Fi and or data. If you have both at home, then just make sure that your phone can access that.

33:25.480 --> 33:32.760
Very good. Thank you so much. This program is wonderful. I tried never, never, never, never to miss it. So thank you so much.

33:32.840 --> 33:35.400
Well, we appreciate it very much, and thank you for being here.

33:36.040 --> 33:38.360
Would you like to go to Jane and Clubhouse?

33:38.840 --> 33:39.880
Sure, go for it.

33:40.280 --> 33:48.300
Okay, so we have two people in Clubhouse now. First, let's hear from Tisha. Then Rachel.

33:48.940 --> 33:51.260
Kesha, good morning.

33:53.260 --> 33:54.220
Hello. Good morning.

33:54.780 --> 33:56.540
We can hear you. How you doing, Kesha?

33:56.940 --> 35:06.510
I'm wonderful. I'm blessed. Thanks. I have first, I'm going to go to dictation myself. I can't stand dictation and I have a bananas Being that I'm hearing impaired, sometimes I miss what is being said or Siri gets it all the way wrong to get rid of it altogether. I have two questions regarding I just got my Windows laptop back and then I'm learning how to use a Mac now with the window. Now, I'm pretty ethnically inclined when it comes to these things because there are times I help my peers how to use their phones and their laptops and basic jaw chips and stuff like that. But here's my issue. I was trying to raise the volume with jaws. Now, I told the keyboard command is insert based in the letter V. So.

35:06.510 --> 35:17.670
That'S not the full keyboard command. I wasn't sure if you were done or not. But the full keyboard command you're trying to. No worries. You're trying to increase the volume of Jaws, or you're trying to increase the volume of your system.

35:18.709 --> 35:21.510
I was trying to increase the volume of Jaws.

35:21.670 --> 35:53.030
Okay, so it's insert space, which puts you into the layered command, then the letter V for volume and then the letter J for Jaws. And then you can use your up and down arrow keys to turn the volume up or down, or page up and page down to increase that volume in faster increments. And then I believe insert space V and then S for system will turn up your system volume so it turns everything up. And then you can adjust the level of jaws. Thanks, Liz.

35:53.190 --> 36:22.420
Also, when you press insert space, press and hold down, insert and tap your space bar as an audible clue cue. You will hear a little click noise and that means that you're in the layered commands. And then once you've performed the volume adjustment that you need to perform, would like to perform. There's several ways to get out of layer mode, but really just press Escape and then it will be set until you change it again in that same.

36:22.420 --> 36:47.160
Manner and full transparency. I just want to make sure that we're clear because with Jaws, it can get a little complicated. When we say press insert space, as Liz was saying, hold the insert key, tap your space bar, you'll get the click, let both of those keys go. Then tap the V and release it, and tap the J and release it. Don't press them together. So it's insert space and then V and then J and then your arrow keys.

36:47.560 --> 37:10.360
Yes, Yeah, I understand that. I learned that actually. I'm actually learning so I can get into possibly open up my own IT business to work with my peers on how to do jobs and stuff like that. So I try to learn as much as I can and Work on what I know.

37:10.920 --> 37:11.640
There you go.

37:11.720 --> 37:20.600
Awesome. And if you would like those steps, you can always email feedbackmute, show and we can provide them that way as well, if that would be helpful.

37:20.840 --> 37:21.480
Yep.

37:21.720 --> 37:22.840
Oh, that would. Great.

37:23.240 --> 37:23.720
Perfect.

37:24.200 --> 37:48.850
Okay, one more quick question and then I'll get out of here. This is regarding my Mac Air. Now, is there, I want to say, I'm told, parallel, but is there something that you can work that you can use with the Air where it's a little simpler to navigate around? I might be saying it wrong, but not wording it correctly.

37:48.930 --> 38:12.590
Well, parallels, that's what you were talking about, is actually a. What they call a virtual environment. And you can install other operating systems, like for example, Windows into it. So that means in that window you're running Windows and then on your main computer you're still running Mac at the same time and you can bounce back and forth. But I'm not sure if that's what you're asking.

38:13.470 --> 38:15.950
That's what I was working. That's exactly what I would ask.

38:16.350 --> 38:36.980
Yep. So there's plenty of tutorials online. Search Google for parallels with Voiceover. You'll find some stuff that I've done, some stuff that Steven Scott's done, and some other individuals over on Applevis that have done, guiding you through getting that installed. It is a bit of a process, so if that's what you want to do, I would do a little bit of investigation in there.

38:36.980 --> 38:39.260
Okay, most definitely.

38:39.340 --> 38:51.810
Thank you. And I do see that the other hand in Clubhouse has already gone and we still have some first timers in Zoom. So I'm going to jump back over here to Zoom real quick and we'll come back over to Clubhouse in a moment. Who do we have next, Monica?

38:51.810 --> 38:52.930
We have Vanessa.

38:53.330 --> 38:54.330
Hello, Vanessa.

38:54.330 --> 38:55.170
Hey, Vanessa.

38:56.130 --> 39:00.370
Good morning, everybody, and this is my first time calling. Thank you so much.

39:00.370 --> 39:01.170
Welcome, welcome.

39:01.330 --> 39:14.530
Thanks. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to ask this question, but I wanted to know with the Amazon. Oh, God. What do you call it again? But you download a book.

39:15.200 --> 39:15.640
Kindle.

39:15.640 --> 39:16.200
Kindle.

39:16.200 --> 39:21.280
Kindle, yes. Thank you. Yes. So is it completely compatible?

39:21.920 --> 39:29.920
Would you have to know they do have a Kindle app that works on pretty much every device out there, if it's compatible.

39:29.920 --> 39:50.970
Can you finish your question? Like, can you explain more? What are you asking for compatibility with? Oh, because I. Is it accessible with access with screen readers or. Well, there's a book that I was looking at and it said it had the Kindle edition. So I just wanted to know, if I download it, will I be able to read it.

39:51.210 --> 39:53.370
Are you a voiceover user or Zoomtext?

39:53.530 --> 39:54.970
Yes, I'm a voiceover.

39:55.290 --> 40:23.310
Okay, perfect. So a lot of books are accessible on mobile, and I hesitate by saying that because there are some books that I have heard are not accessible. So what I would do in your case is Amazon will allow you to download a preview of the book before purchasing it. So I would download the preview of the book. And if you're able to read that, then you should feel confident with being able to purchase the book to read it as well.

40:23.390 --> 40:25.070
Oh, okay. Thank you for that.

40:25.470 --> 41:23.650
Just so there's a little understanding of the technology itself, you do need something that is adaptable to the file type that you're looking at. So, for example, if you're wanting to download an actual Kindle book, then you would need an application on your computer, such as Kindle or Virtual Kindle, that will allow you to read that. It's the same thing as if you were going to look at a Word document. Typically, you would need Word to open that document up and edit it and do anything you would want to do with it, just like any application. So just keep that in mind if you. You just want to make sure that you have an application that's going to be able to read that file type when you download it to your computer. Because if you don't have an application that'll read that particular file type, then it may not open on your computer. That doesn't mean that it's broken. That just means that you need something that's compatible to be able to open that document.

41:23.650 --> 41:48.520
Oh, okay. Thank you for that. And one quick question. My emails, my new emails are not coming in. That opening up. So it says my last date was like maybe two days ago. So how do I get the. I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I mean, this happened to me before, but someone did it for me. So my new computer. Yeah, my. I'm sorry.

41:50.040 --> 41:51.800
I'm sorry. Marty has that. Go ahead, Marty.

41:52.280 --> 41:58.040
I was going to ask. Are you talking about your email? Your email's not updating, Is that what you're asking?

41:58.120 --> 42:02.050
Yes. This has happened before, but I don't know what they did. And so I'm just.

42:02.050 --> 43:08.500
Sometimes you just need to refresh your email application. So what that means is, let's say right now you download and it, you know, you open it up and it downloads two new emails, right? Then nothing happens for two days. What you would need to do is either find where it says refresh, so then it will go out and it will look on the Internet for your. Maybe any new emails that came in and they will download. Or what you can do is you can quit your Outlook or whatever app you're using for email and reopen it up again. And when you do that, it'll automatically sync. What I would suggest doing is looking in your settings to see how often your email application is actually syncing, because you can set that to be anything from like every minute, every 10 minutes, once a day, whatever you want. But if it's not, and when you're just sitting there with it open and not doing anything, if it's not checking, if it's not refreshing, it's not going to show you any new emails until you force it to do that.

43:08.820 --> 43:22.820
Oh, okay. Oh. Oh, wow. So thank you so much. I'm new to, you know, abc. I mean, ab. What is it? Acb. Yeah, I'm new to it, so I love it. These things are just great. Thank you so much.

43:23.140 --> 43:28.320
Of course. Thanks for participating in community. We greatly appreciate it and hope to see you around.

43:28.560 --> 43:29.920
You will. Thank you.

43:29.920 --> 43:31.360
Monica, who do we have next?

43:32.240 --> 43:33.360
We have Gregory.

43:34.000 --> 43:35.280
Good morning, Gregory.

43:35.360 --> 43:50.640
Morning, guys. Yeah, I use dictation quite a bit. There's, you know, message to friends and family. They know my quirks and weird stuff that I, I speak. So I did learn here recently, make.

43:50.640 --> 43:52.880
Sure, especially in the morning because that's.

43:52.880 --> 44:00.090
When I usually respond to all my messages. Make sure that you have all your oral hardware in.

44:00.090 --> 44:02.050
Like, I just got a parcel about.

44:02.050 --> 44:05.970
A month ago and I keep forgetting and dictation doesn't really understand me when.

44:05.970 --> 44:08.010
I'm not wearing my parcel.

44:08.410 --> 44:20.740
But I'm a good keyboard user with muscle memory, you know, with, with my phone. But it's too slow, so that's, you know, I'm lazy. I want to use dictation, but if.

44:20.740 --> 44:22.500
I wanted to make sure that it's.

44:22.500 --> 44:40.060
Accurate, I, I go to Word, type it up and then copy and paste. That's what I use mostly. But my question is regarding the editing or the dictation. You know, a lot of these apps, iOS will give you the options to.

44:40.060 --> 44:46.180
Use AI, you know, like professional. Do you want it? Funny, if I use those options, are they.

44:47.330 --> 44:57.130
Are they wrecked in with spelling and stuff, grammar, I mean, or do they do a good job? Those AI models? I mean, can anybody have an opinion?

44:57.130 --> 45:12.710
I would say they're all a little bit different. It just depends what you're looking for. Most people kind of just stick with ChatGPT. It's the most universal. But there are other ones out there that specialize in other things. And you have to decide what's going to work best for you.

45:13.660 --> 45:19.060
Just learn about accuracy. You just have to go with the flow and figure out which one you think is more accurate.

45:19.060 --> 45:32.940
I guess, Yeah, I would try to use the free versions of them because I know you don't want to pay for all of them. So. Yeah, most people stick with Chat GPT. It's the most universal kind of. Unless you're looking for something absolutely specific.

45:33.260 --> 45:35.460
I did try. I am trying.

45:35.460 --> 45:39.380
Perpetual Perplexity Pro. Seriously, how it works? I'm.

45:39.850 --> 46:00.330
Yeah. I'd be curious to hear your results. I have Perplexity Pro because Zoom was giving it away to Zoom Workspace Pro users earlier this year, and so they gave me a year of Perplexity Pro. I don't even have the app on my phone. I need to install it because I heard Jonathan's demo of it earlier this week and I'm like, huh, Maybe I should play with that a little more. So, yeah, I don't know if I'm.

46:00.330 --> 46:00.850
Going to keep it.

46:00.850 --> 46:01.450
I try.

46:02.170 --> 46:04.170
A month. Description? Anything? Person.

46:04.490 --> 46:04.890
Right.

46:05.460 --> 46:06.580
All right, guys, thanks a lot.

46:06.660 --> 46:08.340
Thanks, Gregory. Have a beautiful day.

46:08.580 --> 46:09.060
All right.

46:10.020 --> 46:13.100
All right, we've got about 12 minutes left. Who do we got next there?

46:13.100 --> 46:13.620
Monica.

46:14.260 --> 46:15.300
Hey, Deanna.

46:16.100 --> 46:18.660
Okay, how about. We'll go to Eric.

46:19.380 --> 46:20.500
Good morning, Eric.

46:20.819 --> 46:21.540
Hey, Eric.

46:22.420 --> 46:22.900
Maybe.

46:22.900 --> 46:23.540
There it is.

46:23.860 --> 46:25.940
There you are. Hey. What's going on?

46:26.420 --> 46:27.540
Not too much. How you doing?

46:28.340 --> 46:31.140
I'm good. I don't dictate.

46:31.140 --> 46:33.560
And what I do is I turn.

46:33.560 --> 46:36.480
Off the predictive text and the correct.

46:36.480 --> 46:43.240
Spelling and autocorrect because I don't know, it's old school like that, you know? Gotcha.

46:46.120 --> 46:53.320
No, my question is, anybody on that uses a Mac in here uses Homebrew?

46:53.800 --> 46:54.280
Yes.

46:54.840 --> 47:00.090
Okay, so where's Davis in the commands?

47:00.090 --> 47:26.810
Homebrew Upgrade and Homebrew Update. So, first of all, it's not Homebrew. It's just Brew for people. Brew Update will update the database of repositories that are available to pull packages from. Brew Upgrade will upgrade the packages that are installed. So Update is updating the database. Upgrade is actually performing the upgrade on the application.

47:26.810 --> 47:27.210
Gotcha.

47:27.210 --> 47:30.310
Gotcha. Yeah, so like, I use Piano Bar.

47:30.310 --> 47:32.670
If anybody uses Piano Bar of Pandora.

47:33.310 --> 47:46.590
Nope, I've never heard of it. It is cool if you like command line Pandora. Okay, sweet. That's interesting. Brew Install, Piano Bar. Perfect.

47:47.150 --> 47:47.710
Yep.

47:47.950 --> 47:51.710
I appreciate it. Thanks a lot for your questions today and hope that helps a little bit.

47:51.950 --> 47:52.590
Yeah, man.

47:52.590 --> 47:54.050
See you later. All right. Have a good one.

47:54.920 --> 47:56.360
All right, I'll go to Desi.

47:56.600 --> 47:57.560
Hey, Desi.

47:57.960 --> 47:58.800
Hey, Desi.

47:58.800 --> 47:59.320
Hey, guys.

47:59.320 --> 48:01.720
We'll jump back over to Clubhouse after Desi. Go ahead.

48:03.400 --> 48:50.540
I use dictation all the time, but I don't use the Siri version. I always go into my messages app and dictate from there, and I turn off. I have never liked predictive text or autocorrect or any of that stuff, because when I'm dictating, voiceover starts saying all the stuff that it's wanting to put in for me, and it always confuses me. So I just do my dictation, and then I go back and proofread it. And I've gotten really good at editing. I'm really fast at it, and I would mostly prefer to do that than type on a keyboard, unless I use my Apple magic keyboard sometimes for certain kinds of things. So that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

48:51.260 --> 48:52.220
Thanks, Daisy.

48:52.460 --> 48:53.340
You're welcome.

48:53.900 --> 48:58.620
All right, who do we have next? Oh, actually, Michael, you want to go to Clubhouse?

48:58.620 --> 49:03.740
Yeah, let's get that last Clubhouse hand real quick. I do see we have some new ones, but we'll. We'll get that real quick.

49:03.740 --> 49:07.340
There's no one here. The person left.

49:07.420 --> 49:07.860
Perfect.

49:07.860 --> 49:09.580
I believe they came over to Zoom.

49:09.820 --> 49:14.310
Yeah, that's what it looks like. All right, next, Monica, we have.

49:15.270 --> 49:18.790
They jumped on me. Okay, Malcolm, good morning.

49:18.790 --> 49:19.430
Malcolm.

49:19.430 --> 49:20.390
Good morning, guys.

49:20.470 --> 49:21.110
Great show.

49:21.110 --> 49:31.910
Love your show all the time. You've changed the times you play. So my question is how. What is your schedule for the. For this class? How often does it occur?

49:32.310 --> 49:36.070
It's every first and third Saturday at this time.

49:36.070 --> 49:37.670
First and third. First and third.

49:37.830 --> 49:38.710
Super great.

49:38.790 --> 49:39.750
Thank you so much.

49:39.750 --> 49:40.750
And I, I.

49:40.750 --> 49:41.270
You can also.

49:41.660 --> 49:45.820
I was going to say, you can also check out our website if you want to hear all the other podcasts that we put out.

49:46.140 --> 49:46.780
Okay.

49:47.260 --> 49:52.940
I use dictation through for my messages. Seems to work okay for me.

49:53.580 --> 49:54.980
Sounds perfect. Thank you.

49:54.980 --> 49:56.460
Thanks a lot for coming in, Malcolm.

49:56.460 --> 49:59.500
Thank you. Next we have Adrian.

49:59.980 --> 50:01.740
Hey, good morning, Adrian.

50:02.220 --> 50:03.260
What up, Michael.

50:03.260 --> 50:04.900
What up, peoples? How y' all doing?

50:04.900 --> 50:05.420
What up?

50:06.300 --> 50:06.820
Chilling.

50:06.820 --> 50:07.140
Chilling.

50:07.140 --> 50:08.580
Yeah, I use editing a little bit.

50:08.580 --> 50:13.960
On my blind shelf if the mess is too long. Got too many mess ups. I usually just redo it real quick.

50:14.200 --> 50:16.160
If it's anything short, I'll just edit.

50:16.160 --> 50:35.200
It real quick and ain't no big deal, especially if I'm just sending the family and friends and this quick comment real quick. Not sure if Bobby, if anybody else is still on here. Did you plan on Doing some demos for Shell phone show. It doesn't matter if it's a small thing or a big thing. We don't mind sending it to Michael. Usually when I try to do my.

50:35.200 --> 50:36.920
Demos, it's been like a year now.

50:37.080 --> 50:38.320
Usually I try to show what I.

50:38.320 --> 50:42.930
Usually use, or I'll go in and show what Michael has a show, and.

50:42.930 --> 50:44.090
I'll jump on top of that.

50:44.330 --> 50:47.810
And if you didn't know, I recently did one showing zoom, and I broke.

50:47.810 --> 50:48.730
That joint down.

50:50.650 --> 50:51.330
For y' all that.

50:51.330 --> 50:56.050
Want to know how to use zoom on a blind show without using the touchscreen. You will know how to raise your.

50:56.050 --> 51:03.850
Hand on that joint, you know, and we all. We always appreciate Adrian's awesome demos that you put out. You do a fantastic job. So thank you very much.

51:03.930 --> 51:04.450
Yes, sir.

51:04.450 --> 51:05.160
I appreciate that.

51:05.390 --> 51:07.070
All right, that's all I got for y' all. Yep.

51:07.070 --> 51:08.270
All right. Have a great weekend.

51:08.270 --> 51:18.830
Before you run off, dress, I one quick thing to mention to you. I don't know if you've seen it yet, but there's been some pretty cool updates to the podcast app. You can now share from the podcast app.

51:18.830 --> 51:20.590
Oh, okay. Okay.

51:20.670 --> 51:25.150
I will send it out. Yeah. So hint, hint, wink, wink. Okay.

51:25.150 --> 51:29.150
Yeah, you know, okay, that'll work.

51:29.150 --> 51:31.270
Yeah. All right, Monica, who do we got next?

51:31.270 --> 51:33.880
Yeah, about five minutes. And Tony is next.

51:34.440 --> 51:37.160
Good morning, Tony. Thanks for the time check.

51:37.480 --> 51:39.080
It's dj, not me.

51:39.400 --> 51:40.840
Okay. Good morning, dj.

51:40.840 --> 52:28.160
Hey, dj. Good morning. Real quick. But I do use dictate. If there is a typo, I would. I will correct it. Most of the times I use the keyboard because I just do that, and we save for mistakes. One quick question. So I ordered a computer for a laptop for from Computers for the Blind. And I wanted to hook up the mouse to the keyboard that they sent me. The other keyboard, not the laptop, just. But I wanted to hook up mouth, and so I found this little thing, and it feels like a little small battery. I don't know whether that. How does that hook up to the actual laptop with the keyboard?

52:28.720 --> 52:37.040
So we could sit here and guess all day long, but my recommendation for you, dj, is call Computers for the Blind, and they'll know exactly what you have and how to get it connected.

52:37.360 --> 52:37.920
All right.

52:38.080 --> 52:40.720
They'll help you walk through getting it set up. Yep. Okie doke.

52:40.720 --> 52:47.680
Well, thank you so much enjoying yourself and Michael B. Enjoy you on the morning crew, Marty and the gang. Take it easy.

52:47.760 --> 52:51.970
Yeah, thanks. Have a good one. We appreciate it. We'll see you next time in the mix.

52:52.530 --> 52:56.130
I will try. Deanna Again, Deanna.

52:56.850 --> 52:58.410
And we are running out of time here.

52:58.410 --> 52:58.930
I know.

53:00.290 --> 53:01.810
We'll have to catch up with her next time.

53:02.450 --> 53:05.090
Okay, so how about Rachel?

53:05.250 --> 53:06.050
Hey, Rachel.

53:06.050 --> 53:08.370
The next ones are already asked the question.

53:08.930 --> 53:12.610
Yep, we'll do Rachel and grab Bobby real quick. Hey, Rachel.

53:12.850 --> 53:13.530
Hi, guys.

53:13.530 --> 53:16.050
We only have a couple minutes, so we gotta kind of hurry.

53:16.050 --> 53:45.330
Zoom for the clubhouse froze on me. So my quick question is, where can you get that splitter for the. Not the splitter. What do you call that thing for? Garageband. And my next quick question is, will it hurt my metasmart glasses if I keep Aira and be, my eyes opened up. Like, if I go to use them but keep the glasses off, will it hurt the apple?

53:45.800 --> 54:21.990
Nope. It will not impact your glasses because the apps don't stay open on the glasses themselves, even if you leave them open on your phone. The apps. So the Be my eyes is only triggered when you actually trigger that through meta AI. And then regarding your cord, I would get the model of your keyboard and then reach out to the manufacturer and ask them if they have a cable that will go to lightning to plug into your iPad. Okay, perfect. Thanks a lot. And I do think we have one last hand. Let's take Bobby's hand real quick, and then we'll wrap it up. Hey, Bobby.

54:22.710 --> 54:25.190
Hey, Michael. I got a quick one for you.

54:26.150 --> 54:28.190
A new app came out for the.

54:28.190 --> 54:50.040
Blind Shell Classic 3. Of course, I didn't have time to mention it before because I wanted to give the tip, but I'm wondering, what does RSS Reader do? Because I downloaded it and I can't figure it out. So do you think you could have Adrian clear things up with me on that? Because I thought it was for listening to podcasts, but it's not.

54:50.440 --> 55:29.320
Nope. It's for news and websites. So websites use a technology called rss, which allows applications to be updated and made aware of the fact that there's new updates. So you could go to Unmute show and subscribe to our RSS feed there. And then whenever we publish something new on Unmute show, then you would get a notification or be able to see that within the RSS app. That's a very good idea. For the demo. It is available on the Classic two and the Classic three, and if Adrian doesn't get to it or whatnot, then I will get to it and do a demo of it explaining that in more detail. Okay.

55:29.720 --> 55:32.440
Okay. It's not an emergency. I was just curious.

55:32.520 --> 55:43.700
Yep, yep, it's a great app and I'm super excited. And they allowed the ability to import and export your RF RSS feeds and that made me happy when I read that. So thanks, Bobby, for bringing that up.

55:44.100 --> 55:44.900
You're welcome.

55:45.300 --> 55:47.620
All righty. Is that everyone, Monica?

55:47.860 --> 55:48.740
Yes, it is.

55:49.220 --> 56:03.300
Beautiful. I'm going to hand it over to Marty. I want to thank Monica and Jane for your assistance today, Liz for joining us and your assistance too. And Marty, I'll hand it over to you to wrap it up.

56:03.860 --> 56:28.960
Thanks everyone. Yeah, we appreciate all you guys being here and if you want to catch up on all the things that we have going on, you can check out our website which is Unmute show and you'll find all our podcast news and anything else what we have going on.
