Hey, it's Michael here. And as a customer service representative myself, I think it's important to be able to give the customer the best experience possible while engaging them without having to fiddle with your technology. Therefore, I have found a way that's been available in jaws for several years. However, I've recently started using, and I want to show you a quick demonstration of this. Sometimes customers contact me and they want to get more information about the price of a product. And with all the products that we have at at guys, I have a problem with remembering the exact number off the top of my head. So what I'll often do is I'll go to the website, search for the product, get the information for the customer, and relay it to them while continuing a conversation. So what we're going to do is use flexible web, which will allow you to hide or start reading at an element on the website to customize my search results to make my experience faster. When someone calls to ask for the price of a product, we'll also then show you the start from reading functionality, because sometimes someone asks questions about the product, and I like to read a summary real quick to keep myself aware. Let's get into it. So we'll switch over to atguys in.

08:28.246 --> 14:45.450
Hey all, Marty here. And today I'm going to be talking to you about personal hotspot. First, let's talk about what personal hotspot is. So if you have a device that you want to connect to the Internet over Wi Fi, but there isn't Wi Fi available, or maybe you do not want to connect to a public Wi Fi in a coffee shop or like an airport. Personal hotspot is Wi Fi through your phone. Now this works in a few different ways. One is you have to make sure that you actually have a plan that will allow you data for your personal hotspot. Not every plan offers it, but most plans do, especially on an unlimited plan. The average gigabytes is around 30 to 50, depending on how much you pay for your plan and your carrier. All that good stuff. So you're going to need to check with your carrier to find out if it's a part of your plan. And if it is, how much data do you get through your personal hotspot? And then the other thing would be to see how much it costs if you don't already have it built into your plan. So let's first talk about how you get there. So on your phone, you would go to settings, then you would go to personal hotspot. Once you're in there, you can turn it on or off. Once you turn it on, then you will see different parameters for being able to use it. A lot of times if you're on a Apple account or an iCloud account, you can just sign in real easily if all your devices are already signed into your iCloud account. If they're not, then it will give you in the settings there the name of what it will look like when you search for it in your Wi Fi settings. Just like any other Wi Fi, you would look for iPhone or iPhone hotspot or something like that. And then you'll also see that there's a password it will give you, which you can use to log in. If you're for some reason having issues with iCloud, logging into it automatically, or that particular device maybe isn't logged into your iCloud account, which other devices do not have to be logged into your iCloud account. You just have to do it like any other Wi Fi connection you're trying to connect to, you find the name of it. In this case, we're talking iPhone or iPhone personal hotspot. And then you would put in the password that it would give you, which is going to be in your iPhone settings. In personal hotspot section, you'll see a password there. Once you have your parameters set up, then you are good to go and you are on Wi Fi just like any other device that you would connect to a Wi Fi network. So let's talk about some use cases for this. If you do not want to connect to a public Wi Fi, like in a coffee shop or an airport, this is gonna be a much safer bet because you're gonna be the only one that's gonna be on that hotspot or Wi Fi connection. There isn't gonna be all these other people around you trying to connect, or maybe there's some people that are trying to snoop on other people's information, things like that. So this is a great way to keep yourself safe. Another really good thing to think about is let's say you want to go buy another device, like an iPad for example, a lot of times what used to happen is you would have to decide, do you want to buy only Wi Fi? Which means you can only connect to available Wifi networks, or you can buy a cellular version, which then you would have to go to whatever carrier that you use and you would have to sign up for a data plan for your iPad. Now, obviously that's going to cost a lot more money because now you're spending a lot more money on an iPad or whatever device you're purchasing that has that capability built into it, the cellular capability. That's going to be adding money to your purchase to be able to connect not only to Wi Fi, but also to be able to connect to cellular when you're on the go, which means you never lose your Internet signal. It's just like your phone. So you're spending more money on the actual hardware, and then you're spending more money because you actually have to buy a data plan, which usually averages 20 $30 for an unlimited data plan for your device to be on the Internet all the time. When you leave Wi Fi, it automatically connects to your cellular plan, just like your phone does. And of course that's more money you're talking. Like I was saying, depending on the carrier and the plan and how much data you want and all that stuff, it could be anywhere. 2030, $40 a month. You could save yourself money by just only purchasing the wifi version and then using your phone's personal hotspot for data on your iPad or whatever device you're trying to purchase. This will save you money on the actual device you purchased because you won't need to buy the cellular version of it, and you won't need to pay a separate data plan. Now, some people want to have that and they just want to be connected all the time, no matter what, which is definitely an option if you want to do that. But if you don't think you're going to need it all that much, only a little bit, then you can just pay for a plan that has that personal hotspot attached to your phone and it will go by, you know, your plan, your carrier cost, how many gigs you're going to want to have in there. So this is personal hotspot. So check it out and see if it's something that would work for you.

14:45.950 --> 23:21.240
One of the really cool things about being on social media is that you to learn about all kinds of cool gadgets. And anyone who knows me knows I'm a sucker for technology, especially keyboards and headphones. Gotta love them. So when I heard about this cool clicky keyboard with colorful switches, I was so excited because I grew up using a manual typewriter and went on to other various things before we had computers. And I just love things that click. And so getting this gaming keyboard, I had no idea they made gaming keyboards was just really, really neat. So I have here the Redragon or Redragon K 621 keyboard. As you can hear, it's very clicky, has lots of nice click sound to it, a good travel, a little bit of a ping sort of click at the end. You definitely don't want to use it in a quiet meeting unless you want to emulate, you know, sounds from 20 years ago. So I found this great website. It is redragonzone.com. so redragon dashone.com. and there are tons of keyboards on this site and they are devoted to gamers. And so, you know, you can find all kinds of things there. And so I bought this on Amazon. It was normally about $60. It came in at about $41. Got it the next day and I opened up the packaging. And you want to look through the packaging carefully because sometimes those little cardboard sleeves that are tucked in also contain little goodies that you will need with the keyboard. So inside this little cardboard sleeve came with some accessories. And what I found there was a USB A to USB C cable for charging and or connecting to your computer. And then there's a little gadget that looks like a c and it is a key puller. So when you want to disengage the key cap, you can take it off with that. And then you've got a little device that looks like a pair of tongs, and that's for pulling the switch. And then there are four extra switches that are included in case any of them malfunctions, you have extra ones. My unit is a silver housing with blue switches, so it was great to unbox it and discover its layout. So on the left hand side of the keyboard, there is a USB C port for connecting, as I say, to your computer or for charging. So it's recommended that you charge it with your computer since many of the reviews I read said that it's not reliable to charge it with a brick in an outlet. There is an on and off switch that's a little stiff. You got to get your fingernail in there. On is away from me and off is toward me. And then there's some neat little features. On the underside of it, there are two tabs that you can flip so that the keyboard will sit at an angle or at a little slant rather than being flat on the table. I almost missed it. But there's a little magnetic slot for a USB C Wi Fi receiver that is next to one of those little tabs that you pull out to to set the keyboard at an angle. And it's magnetically attached to the underside of the keyboard. I very nearly missed it. So it's just tucked in there, flush with the housing. So the keyboard layout you've got, the top row has two sets of five rubberized buttons. They feel really smooth. They kind of have a silicone feel to them. The first four are macro recording keys. I have no idea what these do. I'm not a gamer, so gamers can enjoy them. I have no idea what we're talking about. And then there's a macro recording stop button, which is important. If you're recording, you need a stop button. On the right hand side, there are five more rubber buttons. These are in order. Stop, which does not work when you have media playing on your iPhone, I found, but I'm sure it would work. Obviously when you're connected to a computer, there's the previous button, there's play pause, there's a next button, and then there's this really cool mode key, which is really amazing because it toggles the function of this scroll wheel that's to the right. I think scroll wheels are really cool. And so this scroll wheel will either adjust the volume control of the media that you're playing, or it will adjust the backlight brightness. So you need to press the final 10th rubber button to change what this scroll wheel does. So if you're experiencing no change in volume when you have this keyboard connected with your iPhone and you're playing media, then just press that 10th button and you'll find that the scroll wheel is really nifty to be able to turn the volume up or down. So on the top of the keyboard, it has a traditional right hand side part of the keyboard. So the top row is print screen, screen lock, and pause. And then below that is a standard six pack, which I like to think of as a braille cell on its side. Somehow I have to work braille in most everywhere I go. So you have your insert, delete, home, and page up and page down. On the far left bottom of the keyboard you have your traditional layout. For the most part, there's control and windows and alt, and then you have your spacebar. Then there is the alt key, the function key. There's a mystery key, which I'm not sure what it does. And then there's a control key when you're using voiceover on your iPhone, control and option. The Vo keys are the first and third keys to the left of your spacebar. So you can pair this keyboard up to three Bluetooth devices, one Wi Fi connection and one USB connection. So in order to pair it, you want to press the function key, the FN key with the number one on the numbers row, two or three for the different devices. And this keyboard will show up as BT 3.0 keyboard or BT 5.0 kb in your Bluetooth settings. So function with four is for the wireless so be sure to plug that in the wireless receiver and you want to hold this combination of the FN key plus four. You want to hold this for 3 seconds and then it will connect within 20 seconds of that process. So it takes a little longer than I would have thought, but hang in there, it'll, it'll happen. Apparently I haven't tried it yet, so we'll see then. Finally the FN key plus the number five is to connect with a Usb wired connection. There are many more functions where the fn keys are concerned when you press them with modifier keys. So fn insert changes the backlight mode. A lot of these are visual settings. Fn delete changes the backlight color. The function key with left slows down the speed of the light pattern and with the right arrow speeds it up. Function key tab transitions the backlight to white function key windows disables or enables the windows key. Function key esc sets the keyboard back to its default settings. Then the regular function key is f nine through f twelve. F nine is the browser, f ten is search which does work on the iPhone. I found function key eleven is the calculator and function key twelve is email. For sure that the search does work with the iPhone. So this is a great keyboard. I've had a lot of fun typing on it. If you want that clicky keyboard feel and you like keyboards with switches, then this would be something at a great price point for you to check out. So that's the latest in Chris's keyboard collection.
